Specify the right doors and components
Practical buying notes for project teams, distributors and door manufacturers. Start with the supply scope, then compare the construction, interfaces and approved finish.
Door slab or complete door package?
A door slab is the leaf. A complete package may also include the frame or jamb, casing and agreed hardware. Record each included item in the quotation rather than assuming every door set contains the same parts. For replacement work, check existing frames and hinge positions before ordering.
Compare leaf width, height and thickness, core construction, edge treatment and machining. Keep opening dimensions separate from finished leaf dimensions.

The jamb forms the sides and head of the opening. Casing or architrave covers the frame-to-wall junction. Review wall thickness, the frame section, reveal and visible trim width together.
For WPC components, provide a dimensioned profile drawing, required length, finish reference and fixing details. A similar-looking profile may have a different assembly interface.

Names alone do not define the panel. Specify substrate, actual thickness, blank dimensions, surface design and the intended door core. Arborly enquiries can include a 3 mm face panel option, subject to the agreed construction.
Confirm adhesive compatibility, pressing and finishing requirements with your production team. Approve a current sample before bulk supply.

Compare identical quantities, dimensions, finishes, machining, packing and delivery terms. Identify sample costs, tooling if required, inspection scope and the agreed shipment schedule separately.
Share destination-country requirements and any required performance evidence at the start. Confirm that documents apply to the exact product configuration.
